Pune: PMC razes illegal rooftop restaurants, unauthorized construction in Kothrud

A raid was conducted by the Construction Development Department Zone 6 of Pune Municipal Corporation with the help of police officials in Kothrud yesterday.

Pune- A raid was conducted on the rooftop hotels, sheds, and unauthorized construction by the Construction Development Department Zone 6 along with the help of police staff. An area of about 10,349 square feet has been demolished in the said action. Establishments such as Hotel Nakshatra Resto Bar, Spice Garden, Coriander Leaf Restaurant, and Hotel Tasty Besty.

The action was followed after the recent Porsche car accident where the illegal restaurants, pubs, bars came under scanner. 

The action was taken by the Superintending Engineer of the Construction Department of Pune Municipal Corporation, Rajesh Bankar, and the Executive Engineer of Construction Department Zone no. 6, Bipin Shinde, Shrikant Gaikwad, Manoj Mate, Sagar Shinde, Rahul Rasale, Sameer Gadai, Ganesh Thombare, Hrishikesh Jagdale, and other staff.
