In a recent address at Samata Nagar, Yerawada, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar emphasized the importance of community cooperation in maintaining law and order. He cautioned against testing the patience of the police force, stating that while they begin with politeness, they will swiftly resort to strict actions if necessary.

Commissioner Kumar, along with other senior officials including Joint Commissioner Pravin Pawar and Additional Commissioner Manoj Patil, engaged with citizens on crucial issues such as social harmony, rising addiction rates, and juvenile crime. The dialogue was part of an initiative led by Dr. Siddharth Dhende and Rahul Dombale, aimed at understanding local concerns regarding crime.

Addressing parents directly, Commissioner Kumar stressed the role of parental guidance in steering children away from wrongful paths. He advocated for instilling good habits early on, highlighting that this approach could significantly reduce juvenile crime rates in the community.

During the interaction at Nagpur Chawl, Samata Nagar, the police officials gathered insights into community grievances related to crime. Commissioner Kumar instructed police inspectors to intensify efforts in curbing criminal activities specifically in Yerawada, urging swift and strict actions against offenders.
