As per sources, these transfers are a regular process in the judiciary, as they occur after the completion of a specified tenure.

The Juvenile Justice Board members, who granted bail to a minor motorist in the Kalyani Nagar accident case, are being questioned on various conditions, including writing an essay on the accident and working as a traffic control volunteer for 15 days with the Yerawada Police.

On May 22, the Women and Child Development Department constituted a committee to investigate the members, headed by a Deputy Commissioner, under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. Their report is expected to be submitted in the next two to three days.

The boy released from juvenile home should be given custody to a family friend of the Agarwal family, according to their lawyers.

The board instructed the family’s advocates to provide the names of those to whom custody should be given after release, as blood relatives cannot be given custody.

The Juvenile Justice Board granted bail and ordered the boy to be sent to ‘Muktangan Vyasan Mukti Kendra’ for de-addiction counselling. However, the addiction center has not received an official order in this matter.
