Pune- The district and sessions court on Wednesday deferred hearing on two bail pleas filed by the owner and the manager of the Cosie pub and an assistant manager and a bartender at the Blak, who are currently facing charges of serving liquor to the minor in the Porsche crash case, till June 1.

Simultaneously, the hearing on two more bail petitions filed by the teenager’s father, a city builder, and a workforce consultant was also postponed till June 1. All six of them were arrested after the second FIR registered under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, the Motor Vehicles Act, and the Prohibition Act. They are lodged at Yerawada Central Jail as part of their judicial custody at the moment.

This delay in the hearing for 15 days is to enable the police to file written submissions opposing the bail pleas as urged by additional public prosecutor, Prem Agarwal. After the defense lawyers opposed this order, the court granted Agarwal only three days. At 2.30 am on May 19, the Porsche Taycan hit a motorcycle in Kalyaninagar, killing two software engineers. According to the police, the teen had driven under the influence of alcohol and had been to the two pubs before the accident. This case is currently under investigation as new details keep coming up.
