In the Kalyani Nagar accident case, there are ten more witnesses, some of whom are employed by the accused, in the case of trying to kidnap the driver by pressuring him to take the blame on himself. The Pune police and the prosecution claimed that if the father-son duo were granted bail, they could pressurize the complainants and witnesses, tamper with the evidence and escape the country.

Surendra Kumar Brahmadatta Agrawal,  Age 77, and Vishal Surendra Kumar Agrawal, Age  50, are in judicial custody for abducting the driver and threatening him by snatching his mobile phone. Both the residents of Bungalow Number One, Brahma Suncity, Wadgaon Sheri have applied for bail. The application was filed in First Class Magistrate N S Bari’s court, to which the police and government lawyers opposed on Wednesday. (26 June)

The complainant, a key witness in a Porsche car crash case, was forced to take a minor to the police station after the accused threatened and tampered with CCTV footage. The accused attempted to destroy evidence by manipulating his blood sample to save the boy. Investigating officer Pratap Mankar and public prosecutor Yogesh Kadam argued that if the accused were granted bail, they could obstruct the investigation again. The court heard arguments from both sides and is expected to deliver its verdict on Monday.

The head of Sassoon’s forensic department, Ajay Taware has been arrested for allegedly altering the blood sample of the car driver after the Kalyani Nagar Porsche accident. He has filed for bail in Judge U M Mudholkar’s court, which the Pune police oppose. The case will be heard on July 1.
