The Pune Ring Road project was approved in the cabinet meeting held yesterday. In this regard, a 5,500 crore loan has also been approved by HUDCO.

Pune- In yesterday’s cabinet meeting, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, approved the Pune Ring Road project. The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has also approved a 5,500-crore loan for this project, with a government guarantee to be provided as per the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation’s (MSRDC) demand.

The project has already acquired 535.42 hectares of land and requires an additional 972.07 hectares. Additionally, 1,876 crore and 29 lakh have been allocated for the land acquisition process.

The Pune ring road route will connect major highways such as Pune-Nashik, Mumbai-Pune-Solapur, Pune-Satara, and Pune-Ahmednagar, and will also improve connectivity to about 29 villages across the city.
