Thousands of warkaris from across the state eagerly participate in the wari to Pandharpur each year. This year, preparations by the administration aim to ensure a smooth journey for devotees. The event, eagerly awaited by warkaris, has now arrived in Pandharpur’s courtyard. On June 28, the palanquins will depart from Mana, marking the beginning of the journey to visit Vithuraya.

Specifically, the palanquin of Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj will start its journey from Dehu. Dehu Nagar Panchayat has taken special measures for the convenience of devotees this year, introducing location maps and facilities guides accessible through QR codes. These QR code scanners have been installed on boards placed around the area, providing easy access to information about facilities and amenities.

“This initiative ensures that devotees and warkaris will have access to essential facilities seamlessly,” stated a spokesperson from the Nagar Panchayat. Essential amenities such as drinking water tankers, mobile toilets, fire engines, hospitals, government NDRF units, parking facilities, and location boards have been arranged across the Dehu area and equipped with QR codes for easy access to information.

Dehu Nagar Panchayat aims to enhance the overall experience of warkaris during their pilgrimage, ensuring that their journey is comfortable and convenient.
