A 24-year-old fangirl from Delhi was detained by Mumbai police for creating a ruckus outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse, demanding to marry him. The incident occurred while Khan was away attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding soiree.

Salman Khan, affectionately known as “bhaijaan,” enjoys a massive global fan following. This particular fangirl travelled from Delhi to Panvel with the sole intention of meeting and marrying the superstar. Unable to see him, she caused a commotion, prompting local villagers to alert the authorities.

Police from the Panvel Taluka station responded promptly, detaining the woman and subsequently handing her over to the NGO Social and Evangelical Association for Love (SEAL) for counselling. The fangirl, fixated on Khan’s on-screen persona, proved challenging for the counsellors.

Her parents were contacted and brought to Mumbai, where they expressed shock at their daughter’s actions. After eight days of treatment and counselling, the girl showed significant improvement and was released. The incident underscores the extreme lengths some fans will go to in their adoration for celebrities.
