A seminar on “Awareness on Anti- Human Trafficking” Organized by National Commission for Women & RPF – Pune division conducted on 10.6.2024 at Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering-Pune.
On this occasion Dignitaries present were Smt. Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division, Ms Meenakshi Negi, IFS, Member Secretary-National Commission for Women, Mr.Hemant Kumar, Chief Security Commissioner cum DIG/RPF Central Railway, Ms. Renuka Mishra, IPS, DG, UP Police & others.
Ms Renuka Mishra discussed on gender sensitization, creating inclusive spaces & fostering with understanding and support for gender diversity within Railways, promoting respectful Interactions ensuring gender sensitive communication and behaviour towards Female Passengers. Building Empathy and Understanding. Developing protocols for handling gender specific complaints with sensitivity and empathy.
Mr. Gaurav Gill, Consultant Psychologist, Manobal NGO discussed in detail to analyze body Language and deception detection.
Mr. Umapathy Sattaru, IPS (Retd) emphasized the points to stop Human Trafficking. He also discussed in detail the concepts, dimensions and different forms Trends, Statistics and Hotspots for Human Trafficking. Discussed the vulnerability factors & Legal Framework of Human Trafficking & role of stakeholders to prevent the same.
On this occasion open house discussion was also held & some RPF Personnel share their experience. A need for awareness Campaigns and community engagement also emphasized on this occasion.
Officers & Railway staff including RPF personnel from various divisions of Central Railway and Officer & staff from GRP/pune attended the seminar in the large numbers.
