Swiss businessman Andreas Wuchner has lodged a lawsuit against British Airways, seeking ₹52 crore in damages following a slip-and-fall incident during a flight from London to Zurich in 2017.

A Swiss businessman has sued British Airways for 5 million pounds (Rs 52,88,30,180) after suffering a brain injury at Heathrow Airport when he slipped on a puddle of Baileys liqueur.

The complaint alleges that the fall resulted in severe headaches, forgetfulness, and concentration issues, ultimately leading to the closure of his office supplies company.

According to reports, the incident occurred while Wuchner was travelling on a British Airways flight. The fall caused significant injuries that affected his ability to work, resulting in the closure of his business. Wuchner is now suing the airline for the financial losses incurred due to the incident.

The trial, scheduled to last four days at the Central London County Court, will feature testimony from medical experts, including neurologists and orthopaedic surgeons, regarding the extent of Wuchner’s injuries and their impact on his professional life.

The lawsuit underscores the importance of airline safety protocols and passenger well-being during flights. It also highlights the potential consequences of accidents and injuries sustained during air travel, both for individuals and their businesses.

British Airways is yet to issue a statement regarding the lawsuit.
