Pune: The Pune Traffic Police on Thursday announced diversions for heavy vehicles on the Ganeshkhind road as the construction work for five metro stations on the Hinjawadi – Shivaji Nagar Metro route.
According to the changes:
1. Two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers must turn left at ABIL house and use the Range Hills route
2. The section from ABIL house to Shimla Office Chowk will be closed for vehicles heading towards Shivajinagar via SavitriBai Phule Pune University Road
3. Freight vehicles, private buses, and PMPML buses must turn left at Bremen Chowk and proceed via Dr Ambedkar Chowk
To expedite the metro construction project, these diversions have been implemented by the administration. This action will ensure the construction work for five metro stations namely University Chowk, RBI, Agricultural college, Shimla Office, and Shivajinagar Court is undertaken simultaneously and the pending routes will be completed soon. These changes will be implemented from June 1.
The information was announced by Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil and deputy commissioner of police, traffic Rohidas Pawar yesterday.
