People of Maharashtra’s coastal Ratnagiri district were surprised to see a large crocodile strolling on the road after heavy rains.

A commuter captured a video from their car, showing the reptile wandering in Chiplun. It is believed to have emerged from the nearby Shiva River, which is known to be home to many crocodiles.
Chiplun and other parts of Ratnagiri district have experienced continuous rainfall over the past few days, causing river water levels to rise.
The Meteorological Department has forecasted that the rain will continue in Ratnagiri district until July 2.
