Water supply in Pimpri Chinchwad will be shut off on the evening of Thursday, May 30, to perform regular maintenance at the Nigdi water treatment plant, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
The Municipal Water Supply Department announced that the city’s distribution system would undergo essential maintenance and repair work at various locations, including routine upkeep and specific repairs at the Nigdi water purification facility.
The water supply will be unavailable on the evening of May 30, though morning supply will proceed as normal. Chief Engineer Shrikant Savane of the Water Delivery Department stated that all parts of the city could expect low pressure and inconsistent water delivery early on Friday, May 31.
The municipal corporation urges citizens to use water sparingly and cooperate with the administration during this period, according to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Water Supply Department, PCMC.
