Weather Update: Konkan & Goa expected to receive heavy rainfall; IMD issues red alert

Konkan and Goa regions are expected to receive heavy to extremely heavy rainfall this weekend.

Pune- The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Konkan and Goa, as these regions are likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rainfall (115.5-204.4 mm) on June 21 and 22.

Following this, they are expected to experience isolated heavy rainfall (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rainfall (115.5-204.4 mm), and possibly even extremely heavy rainfall exceeding 204.4 mm, from June 23rd to 25th, 2024, as per the latest weather update by IMD. Apart from these regions, Kerala, Mahe, and coastal Karnataka are also set to receive heavy rainfall this weekend.
